Musicals!

last night i went to watch a musical called "The Boyfriend" at Monroe High School. i wasnt that excited about the story, just because my friend Sara(s) Quentin and Jessica was in it. but i think it was really really cool!
I should've not compared it with the one we did in Argyle.

but anyway, this is Argyle's The Phantom of the Country Opera musical.

It was pretty fun! I gotta go. See you all later :)

Memorable Disneyworld

I never had such a feeling of being, i dont know how to describe it. I found myself back in Argyle, sitting in front of a computer trying to catch up with school work. But Florida, that’s all in my mind.

As I (didn’t) mention before, last week I got almost a week off from school to attend a conference called Better Understanding for a Better World (BUBW). It is sponsored by the Civilization Exchange & Cooperation Foundation (CECF) and being held every year. The way I got to go was by participating in International Education Week, made presentations in which I ended up making 37 of them in front of local communities. Anyway

From the February 2-6, 2011
about 80 students from over 30 different countries stayed in Disney’s All Star Sport resort. Here is the picture near my hotel room:

Also one of the best thing, met my best best Indonesians: Untari Radiv Rizki Shanice and Dian!!!

First day

First thing on the first day was called Millenium Cultures Experiential program. So we went to Epcot, split onto groups and tour around the World Showcase. There were the replicas of typical buildings, landmarks from different countries such as Germany, China, Mexico and America.

After a following presentation session, we got to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
In a tiny amount of time I went on two rides, Tower of Terror and Rock n’ Roll Roller Coaster. It was amazing.

Second day

Today is the Interfaith program, we visited a Church, Synagogue and Mosque and had discussions. I’d say Synagogue was the most interesting for me, and we found out that Jewish and Islam has a lot of similarities!

Interfaith program was very important and it was kind of this conference all about. Each religion in this world are related, and how we are all related to each other.

The day continued on! We dropped in Epcot and were allowed to spend time for the rest of the day. So me and my friends went on almost all main rides like Mission space, Test Track, Soarin’ and spaceship earth. We took pictures at character spot with Mickey and fellas <3

Third day

Magic kingdom started the day!

the pictures described it all!
Around noon we all gathered and prepared for the Banquet in the evening. Most of us dressed in our national costumes and I think they all look wonderful J

Also noted that among other performances on Banquet night, Indonesia made some kind of a mini skit that basically perform our martial arts dances and song. It was funny because we just think of a quick concept, quick teaching then did a quick runthrough, then voila! We tried our best.

well that was most of the fun part. although we all say Disneyworld was the best part, BUBW was not just about that. it was more than just Disney. i made a lot of new friends! right after the conference, all the kids tried to keep in touch and I'm glad Facebook's there.

so right now this first post is dedicated to my friends at BUBW for whom i miss.

see you guys in five years!
